In our modern world, we are often pushed to want more, do more, and be more. But at what point does ambition turn into a shadow that weighs down our soul? During the recent Pink Moon, I delved into a profound SOUL Reflection Meditation led by Bunda Arsaningsih. The focus was singular and powerful: Keserakahan (Greed). The insights from this session transformed into a guide for anyone looking to cleanse their inner energy and find true abundance.
The session was held during the Pink Moon (Full Moon). Bunda Arsaningsih explains that since the human body is 80% water, the moon’s gravitational pull significantly impacts our internal tides, often triggering emotional turbulence and making it harder to control worldly desires [07:28]. Meditation during this time is used to align personal energy with Divine power rather than being swayed by these natural lunar fluctuations [09:10]. During a full moon, our emotional records are highly active. This can trigger restlessness, intense desires, and a lack of emotional control. By meditating during this peak energy, we aren't just sitting in silence; we are aligning our internal waters with Divine power to stay grounded and clear-headed.
Bunda Arsaningsih offered a perspective on greed that goes beyond just wanting money. She defines it as: "The inability to be grateful for what we have, paired with an unethical drive to take what belongs to others." [16:06]. Greed is the seed behind global conflicts and personal misery. When we take what isn't ours—whether it’s credit for work, someone’s peace, or material goods—we aren't just "getting ahead." We are actually creating Karmic Debt.
A key takeaway from the session is the spiritual law of cause and effect: the harvest and the poison. Our current prosperity is the harvest of good seeds we planted in the past (or even past lives). In contrast, greed acts as a poison to this harvest. When we act out of greed, we stop planting seeds of goodness and start planting seeds of lack. Ironically, the more we try to grab out of greed, the more we ensure our future poverty. Bunda emphasizes that God will not change a person's condition unless they make an effort themselves. We must stop blaming external factors or "bad luck" and focus on planting "seeds of goodness" to change our destiny [25:41].
Cleansing
Practical Tips from the Soul Reflection meditation session: sit comfortably with hands open to receive, keep your tongue touching the roof of your mouth to complete your body's energy circuit, and the heart full of thanks. The meditation itself followed a beautiful, two-fold process: personal accountability and global service (pelayanan).
We cannot heal what we do not acknowledge. The first step was connecting with the Prime Soul and admitting where we have allowed greed to take root. This isn't about guilt; it's about cleaning the record. By shining Divine light on these dark spots, we dissolve the seeds of greed before they can grow into actions. The second step is cleaning our own energy. Once we cleared our own energy, we moved to a state of service. We visualized ourselves as channels, allowing Divine Light, Love, and Power to flow through us and into the Earth. The goal was to neutralize the collective energy of greed that fuels wars and suffering worldwide.
“God will not change our condition unless we make the effort to change ourselves.”
Bunda Arsaningsih reminded me that everything is energy before it is physical. For too long, I have carried the energy in vain, feeling that despite the titles, the PhD, and the years of service, something was still missing. But through this reflection, I see that peace cannot be harvested if I am still watering the seeds of regret.
From the video, I am learning to stop asking for the past to be different and to start asking for my heart to be full. As I touched my tongue to the roof of my mouth and felt that internal circuit complete, I made a choice: to stop being a prisoner of my own memories and to become a channel for my own healing. As the silver light of the moon seemed to wash over both the earth and my own restless heart, I realized that the greed I must cleanse isn't always for gold or power. Sometimes, it is the silent greed of a soul that refuses to let go of the what ifs—the hunger to rewrite a chapter from 1996, or the desperate longing for a love that has changed its shape over thirty years.
Now I know, God will not change my condition unless we make the effort to change ourselves. Today, I choose to change my frequency from lack to abundance. I am enough. My journey—every mistake and every achievement—has been the necessary soil for the woman I am becoming today.
